Delegation should only take place when I feel over burdened.

I feel, once delegated, subordinates should be left alone, until the time they are supposed to complete the job.

Basic Rules of delegation require that subordinates should always bring back the job allocated on time.

Enough details should be provided at the time of delegation.

It helps to delegate the job on which we already have a hands-on experience.

Upon delegation, the Manager should keep a distant eye on the progress and interfere at the slightest possibility of he/she going wrong.

Upon delegation, defining a definite outcome is strongly recommended.

If a subordinate comes back with problems on a job, already delegated, we should always do the job ourselves to show him/her as an example.

Most delegation failures occur when the Manager is not sure of the outcome and the channel to follow.

A subordinate who has continuously failed to follow instructions is probably going to continue in the same manner.
