Jihad started
his professional career at the Capital Markets Division in Crédit Lyonnais,
subsequently joined ING Bank where he worked in the areas of Corporate
Credit Risk, Trading Risk Management and Financial Institutions. Before
moving to the GCC and becoming a banking trainer, he spent five years in the
realm of financial regulation as Executive Director at the Banking Control
Commission of the Central Bank in Lebanon.
He has also eight years of academic experience as an instructor at the
Faculty of Business and Management at Université Saint Joseph in Beirut.
Over the years, he has developed a friendly instruction style which has
proven quite effective in motivating participants and leaving its marks on
the individuals who have attended his courses.
Jihad holds Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the American University of
Beirut and a Masters Degree in Finance from Ecole des Hautes Etudes
Commerciales, Europe’s leading business school.
He has attended several professional development programs and workshops in
the field of risk with renowned institutions including ING Bank, the
Bundesbank in Germany, the Financial Services Authority in the UK, and the
Commission Bancaire in France.
In his spare time, Jihad’s hobbies include philately and carting; he also
enjoys listening to music and plays the bass guitar. |
