Management Tips
1.
Maintain a healthy nutritious diet. Eat more fresh fruit,
whole grains, vegetables, lean meat and fish, and less fat,
salt, sugar and alcohol. This will enhance your immune system
and keep your energy levels high.
2.
Control your finances. Financial worries can add to your
stress levels. In essence you must spend less and save more. Set
a budget and record everything you spend. If you need help seek
expert financial advice.

Dear Friend
As we venture into a brand new year, we
need to glance back at the past years and analyze, if they were
significantly
different
or just a copy paste year after year. Go back to 2007 - do you even
remember it? Ask yourself a few questions:
|
  |
-
Financial Stability - Are you
better or worse off, or the same challenges?
-
Personal Habits - Has your
personality evolved? Are you still struggling with vices?
-
Personal Relationships - The
same arguments and challenges with loved ones?
-
Physical Body - Thinner,
Fatter, Healthier or Fatigued? Have you been looking after
your body?
-
Physical Looks – Are you
looking older, haggard, energetic or vibrant?
-
Intellectual Capital – Have
you been stimulating your intelligence through reading,
research or intellectual discussions
-
Emotional Intelligence - Do
you still fly off the handle in conflict situations?
-
Social Intelligence - Has your
social circle changed or are you meeting the same friends?
-
Skill Set - Any new skills
acquired in the past 5 years?
-
Career Growth – Has your
career progression been in accordance to your goals?
-
Spiritual Elevation – Do you
feel closer to the Divine Power?

We can not continue living our
lives in a rut , without the self
realization, that we have to keep investing in the several zones of our
life. We need to make a conscious
effort of keeping a bird eye view
of the overall life. Sometimes we feel being pulled into different
directions whilst astride on this roller-coaster life.
We need to
take a step back and do a SWOT of self to put things in
perspective.
We might be our worst enemy, but we are our best
teacher as well. Who knows better than I about the Rights and the Wrongs
in my life, provided I am mindful of those baggages.
New year resolutions are good initiatives to any new year, but that does
not mean I can not keep bringing myself on track the moment I feel
drifting into the danger zones. The unequivocal quote by Socratese
explains it all “The unexamined life is not worth living”
I am intrigued by the concept of parallel life, but I feel that this
parallel life does not exist in another galaxy but within ourselves. We
live the outer life to its fullest but ignore the fact that, adjacently
there is a life thriving within us which is actually the foundations for
the life outside.
If we live very moment with awareness within, the reality around us
changes dramatically, giving us a new reality which was dormantly
waiting to be unveiled. Wishing you all a very progressive 2012. Live
life to the fullest!
Always look forward to your
suggestions / feedback
which helps the Intek team to continually improve this Ezine.

Customer Relationship Management
The Most Valuable Service You Sell
|
Business marketing is more complex than ever.
Giant retail-chain stores, online shopping, and rampant franchising make it
tough for individual businesses to stand out in the crowd. So, how can you
woo and win today's over-stimulated consumer? It's easier than you think.
Winning word-of-mouth advertising and repeat business
Customers talk. Whether they have a great experience or a bad experience
with your company, they'll share it with everyone they know. Remember the
last time you tried a new restaurant? How many people did you tell about the
food? What was their reaction? When you provide a positive experience for
one of your customers, you've just put up a very convincing, traveling
bill-board, and it doesn't cost a penny.
Happy customers won't just send other customers to you; they'll come back to
you. It's this repeat business that creates long-term success. Many
companies can get the consumer's attention, but good customer service is
what will keep their...

Team Building Skills
Team Spirit Built from the Top
|
|
Team spirit is the catalyst every organization
needs to achieve outstanding performance. Strategic plans,
marketing,
technology and capital investment are clearly important, but emotional
commitment of the people using the tools and executing the plans is what
determines whether companies sink or soar.
Too often, clients and customers have their expectations raised by shiny and
expensive facilities, only to be treated like intruders once they step
inside. Companies can make huge investments in technologies yet have
indifferent frontline staff who demonstrate about as much enthusiasm for
customers and their needs as a teenager for more rules and supervision.
For the most effective companies, organizational spirit or culture is a
major competitive advantage. Companies can purchase the same equipment,
technologies, products, people, brands, facilities and other tangible assets
as their competitors.
But they cannot buy the intangible culture of caring for customers or
commitment to high quality that makes or breaks all their tangible
investments. This can only be earned through strong and consistent

Cross Cultural Awareness
Global Non-Verbal Signals - England (United Kingdom) &
Finland
|
|
|
England (United Kingdom)

-
To signal a waiter in a restaurant
for the "bill", make a motion with both of your hands as if you
were signing your name on a piece of paper.
-
Loud talking and other forms of
noisy behavior should always be avoided.
-
Try not to stare at anyone in
public. Privacy is highly regarded in the United Kingdom.
-
To wait in line in the United
Kingdom is to "queue up". You must never "jump the queue" which
would be to push your way into a line of other people.
-
When drinking in a pub, pick up
your change after you pay for your drink. If you leave it there,
as you might in the United States, would imply that you are
leaving a tip. Tipping is not extremely widespread in British
pubs.
-
An offensive gesture in England
would be the V for victory sign done with your palm facing
yourself.
|
 |
Finland
-
Emotions are not openly expressed
in Finland, unless among close friends or relatives.
-
When dining with the Finnish, do
not begin to eat before your host does. Also, eat slowly because
you are expected to eat everything on your plate.
-
When you are dining in Finland, do
not pass the salt hand-to-hand. This is considered bad luck.
Instead, put the salt shaker down on the table and let the other
person pick it up.
-
Do not stand with your arms folded
in Finland as this is considered a sign of arrogance.
-
When yawning, always remember to
cover your mouth.
