Dear
Friends,
Thank you for all the supportive emails we have been receiving from
you. They are a great source of encouragement for the Intek family.
Remember that every dawn brings forth a brand new day. To enjoy this
day we have to live in the present moment without the failures of
the past or fears of the future.
Mark Twain once said, "My life has been full of miseries & some of
them actually happened". How we decide to perceive each day shapes
our destinies. Wishing you all a happy day - each day.
Looking forward to your
feedback / comments / questions / critique.

Successful Team Building Events
Team building can give a powerful boost to the spirit and effectiveness
of any group. Well designed and delivered team building programs can lead
to better understanding, clearer alignment and much stronger
motivation.
Organizing a "team building event" is a big responsibility. Use these
ideas to make your event a well-planned and memorable success.
1. Set the Tone With an Inspiring Theme:

Thinking Critically About ESP
In times past, there have been all kinds of crazy
ideas--that bumps on the
head reveal character traits, that bloodletting is a cure-all, that each sperm
cell contains a miniature person inside. When faced with such claims--or with
claims of mind-reading or out-of-body travel or mind-over-matter--how can we
separate crazy ideas from those that sound crazy but are true? At the heart of
science we find a simple answer: Test them to see if they work. If they do, so
much the worse for our skepticism. If they don't, so much the worse for the
ideas.

Decoding Body Language
The four basic modes of body language
in business
Knowing how to read body
language is a useful communication skill. So is knowing how to use
it.
There are two basic groups of body
language postures:
OPEN/CLOSED
and
FORWARD/BACK
OPEN/CLOSED
is the most obvious. People
with
arms folded and legs crossed and bodies turned
away are signaling
that they are rejecting messages. People showing open hands, fully facing
you and
both feet planted on the ground are accepting them.

Customer Service: Graceful,
Productive Apologies
A client who offers a Web-based service asked my
advice on a message they wanted to send to their
customers after a system upgrade proved more
disruptive than expected. "What tone should we
take?" he wondered. "We'd like to say that we're
sorry, but we're not sure how apologetic
we should be."
Apologies are a powerful communication tool.
Apologies acknowledge a problem, express regret
and either implicitly or explicitly promise that the
problem won't happen again. Tone makes a
difference in the effect of an apology - we've
all encountered a formulaic or perfunctory apology
that doesn't cancel the offense.
